Once upon a time...
(I've heard that all good stories must start this way. Even if that isn't true, it's a handy trick, because it makes you, the reader, believe that we've got something to say for at least four words. And then a parenthetical, italicized THING happens, and you begin to doubt us. Maybe that's better. Start out with low expectations. Forget that bit about believing we have something to say.)
ANYWAY. Once upon a time, Touz took a picture for me. I hope she'll post the picture, because no words I type will explain to you the hilarity that ensued. It was a picture of a man wearing a sombrero so large that he was forced to drive with the sunroof of his car down. Touz was behind him driving, and it was only by luck that she happened upon this hilarity, and it was only because she is an awesome friend that she took the picture and shared it with me.
A few days later, I took a picture for Touz. Unfortunately, my camera phone is only one iteration above telegraph, and the picture didn't turn out aside from a smeary dark blur that didn't capture the hilarity, but, as in all things, it's the thought that counts. And our thought was... Touz and I often see strange, incongruous, hilarious, RIDICULOUS things in our respective lives that we enjoy sharing with each other, whether it be a photo, a story, something on the internet, or men in big hats crammed into tiny cars. And we want to capture those ridiculous, wonderful things to revisit later.
So that's what we're doing here. Anyone is welcome to pull up a beanbag chair and view the wonderful world through our eyes, and we hope you'll leave a comment before you leave again.
Note: Touz and Ern are not our real names, nor will we be using any real names so much as possible. Not only because we actually call each other Touz and Ern in real life, but because pseudonyms are fun and often more telling than any number of adjectives.
